Palestine’s female car racers

Palestine’s female car racers

Did you know that there are female car racers in Palestine, who actually customize an ordinary car to compete against various racers? Yes, you read it right! There’s an all-female car racing team including Mona Ali, Maysoon Jayyusi, Marah Zahalka, Noor Dauod and Betty Saadeh. These female racers are all accomplished drivers and have been racing champions. If you are thinking that these girls might be tomboyish, then you are wrong – they are all girly and wear stunning nail art as well.

As a first female car racing team, they have to be a bit careful about the throttle. But even then, these girls are making sure that they race into their own identity, especially when car racing is dominated by males. The team members told that initially they were not accepted in the car racing circuit. But now they have made it fair and square for all the Palestinian women that they race cars!
