Alessandro Del Piero is a profession Italian soccer star, playing the deep lying forward position.  In his country, soccer is referred to as football; therefore while some may call him a soccer star, he is also a star footballer. A talented forward, Del Piero is also a free kick specialist and believed to be one of the greatest footballers in his age group. While being a highly regard player of his generation, he is also one of the best Italian players of all time.

Alessandro Del Piero won the prestigious ‘Serie A Italian Footballer of the Year’ award in 1998 and in 2008. Scoring 346 goals, Del Piero holds the second highest Italian top scorer award. He has also won awards for the following:
